I am an academic philosopher. I study the problems of action and personal responsibility. I analyse concepts like capacity, control, accountability and blame, with an interdisciplinary approach (philosophy, law, technology). I reflect on the ways in which legal issues and new technologies may change, complicate, or clarify the philosophical views on these concepts. But I also try to use the philosophical analysis of these concepts to answer socially and legally relevant questions about responsibility. I am also a songwriter. I have collaborated in the writing and performance of multimedia politically engaged stage-performances. I used to be a football-player, a marathon runner. and a school teacher. Philosophy, music, education, and sport are – be it said ironically – some of the useless things I care about.
