A nice event will take place before my upcoming inaugural lecture on Nov 13 at TU/e, with Caterina Moruzzi, Sven Nyholm, Cristina Zaga, David Abbink
Automation technologies have historically improved the quality and efficiency of human work, as well as created new forms of injustice and exploitation. GenAI tools such as ChatGPT now promise to also support artistic production and academic writing. But how can AI support creativity without negatively affecting human agency, freedom, justice and authorship? And which ethical, political and design lessons can we learn from previous and current attempts at introducing AI technologies in the workplace? On the occasion of my inaugural lecture, I will host a conversation with two philosophers who are experts in AI and creative work, Caterina Moruzzi and Sven Nyholm, and two experts in transdisciplinary research on the design of worker-robot relations, David Abbink and Cristina Zaga.
Location and time: Blauwe Zaal, Auditorium, Eindhoven University of Technology. Thursday November 13, 2025 from 1-3 pm
Attendance is free of charge, but registration is required.
